  3. Lamentations 1:1, 8 • How lonely sits the city that was full of people! She who was a princess among the provinces has become a forced laborer…Jerusalem sinned greatly, therefore she has become unclean.

  4. "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing” (Matt. 23:37).

  5. Seduction & Destruction • Materialism • Idolatry • Lewdness • Deception • Attitude

  6. Celebrated Sin • “…they parade their sin like Sodom; they do not hide it…They have brought disaster upon themselves” (Isaiah 3:9).

  7. God would not forget them

  8. “I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life” (Ezekiel 37:5).

  13. Father, I want to know you, but my coward heart fears to give up its toys. I cannot part with them without inward bleeding. I come trembling, but I do come. Please root from my heart all those things which have become a very part of my living self, so that you may enter and dwell there without a rival. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
