  4. Cloning • Key Point #1: • Cloning is the process of creating a genetically identical copy of an organism by a somatic cell nuclear transfer.

  7. Steps of a Somatic Cell Transfer • The nucleus is removed from an egg • The nucleus is removed from the cell that needs to be cloned • The nucleus from the cell that needs to be cloned is put into the empty egg. • It is given a jolt of electricity, causing it to divide and grow.
