  3. JLOTS Joint Logistics Over-the-Shore (JLOTS) is a unified commander’s joint employment of Army and Navy LOTS assets to deploy and sustain a force. JLOTS operations allow U.S. strategic sealift ships to discharge through inadequate or damaged ports, or over a bare beach. JLOTS watercraft can also be used to operationally reposition units and materials within a theater.

Mission/Intent CAMP PENDLETON JLOTS SITES MISSION The 45th Sustainment Brigade conducts RSO from O/A 01JUL08 to 03AUG08, IOT facilitate the movement of deploying equipment from North Island and Camp Pendleton to NTC in support of 25th ID and USARHAW forces participating in NTC rotation 09-08. INTENT The 45th Sustainment Brigade, with down trace units, will conduct Reception, Staging, and Onward movement (RSO) of deploying equipment from Camp Pendleton to NTC via military and commercial linehaul assets. Once all equipment is deployed to NTC, safely redeploy all support personnel and equipment to home station. DEL MAR BASIN

  15. Fort Irwin Fort Irwin Rd. I-15 Barstow Hwy 395 Manix Trail Route for LEGAL SIZED Loads: SP is Las Pulgas Gate CP 1 – is the intersection of I-5 and HWY 78. Head east on HWY 78 for 17 miles. Go north on I-15 for 6 miles and exit the Deer Valley exit. This is CP 2. At CP 2 – head north on I-15 for 139 miles to exit 178. Drive straight ahead over Lynwood Road into the Flying J Truck stop. This is CP 3 and it is a mandatory rest area. At CP 3 – head north for 12 miles and get off at the Fort Irwin Road exit. This is CP 4. At CP 4 – head north on Irwin Road for 31 miles. You will drive into the Fort Irwin main gate. A representative of the **** MCT will be there to lead you to the RP. OVERSIZED LOADS: From CP 3 – head north on I-15 for 17 miles. Get off at the Harvard exit. At the stop sign, go right for 50 meters and make the first left on to Yermo Rd. for 4 miles to where the pavement ends. A representative of MCT will be waiting at the end of the pavement and will lead you to Fort Irwin. CP 3 – TA(Southbound)/Flying J (Northbound) CP 4 I-40 Yermo Rd. I-15 Harvard Exit I-15 I-215 • Critical Points: • Intersection of I-15 and Route 60 has heavy traffic congestion. • On I-15, the area between Route 215 and HWY 395 is a mountainous region and consists of a steep grade.
