  2. Vision Statement New Life Youth Ministry purposes to reconcile our youth to their rightful place in Christ Jesus and seeks to establish their relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ and by His Spirit.

  3. Vision Statement cont Through in-depth bible study, worship that the Father seeks and character building workshops, the youth of NLF will be able to identify their gifts, set goals and channel their passion for the purpose of moving into their gifts and callings without reservation.

  4. Vision Statement cont New Life Youth Ministry is a place of health, wholeness and deliverance for youth who are 12 years old to 25 years old. It purposes to revive, restore and renew our youth to a love for God and to ensure they reach their fullest and highest potential in Christ.

  5. Vision Statement cont Our youth’s foundation will be Christ and His Word. They will be able to recognize the Spirit of Truth by spending time in God’s presence, reading His Word and understanding the purpose of submitting to His authority. Our youth will know the difference between fun-filled holiness (wholeness) and compromise.

  6. Vision Statement Cont This ministry is for all youth, from all backgrounds and ethnic heritages. God’s love, truth and grace will be imparted to all!

  7. Wednesday Night Bible Study Wednesday Night Bible Study will give youth the opportunity to research bible topics, discuss current events and ways in which they are affected by such events; discuss their passions; create goals, timelines and strategies to bring their desires to fruition.

  8. How will this be done? Leadership Teaching Team will: • Provide youth with 15 to 20 minutes of instruction on a particular subject! • Empower youth to search for answers in the Bible! • Provide the youth with the skills and equipment necessary to do research and produce a final project!

  9. How will this be done? • Use creative and innovative ways to improve youth participation! • Request Youth Input on “Best Practices”.

  10. Joshua Generation Joshua Generation is the social aspect of the ministry on Friday night’s. At present, we have 12 Teachers and 5 assistants. Youth are provided with space and opportunity for healthy and bible based social interaction. This is not a place for dating but a safe place to have discussions, play games and times of ministry as the Holy Spirit Leads. The night is set up each week with different events to ensure fun-filled, safe, healthy interactions.

  11. Desired Events • Life Size Game Night • Talent Showcase • Concerts with local Guest Artists • Collaboration with local youth ministries • Special outings to skate, bowl, etc. • Family Conference • Youth Conference

  12. Desired Events • Attending other Youth Conferences • Retreats • Off-site fellowships • Friday Night Café – Leronne and I are discussing strategies to get this aspect of the ministry up and moving by mid-May.

  13. School of Youth Life Group Leaders • Plans to discuss strategy for implementation with Elder Brandon are in the making. • Keyahand Jewell Hopkins have assumed the role of Ministry Team Leaders for SOYL (School of Youth Leaders

  14. School of Youth Life Group Leaders Plan • To build the curriculum for youths between the ages of 12 - 18 years old. • Teachers will be those who have already gone through SOL, be active members of NLF and have a heart for young people. • Our target day for SOYL is September 2011

  15. Our Goal • We desire to have all youth go through SOYL. (Once completed, youth will be encouraged to open a life group but it is not mandatory) • SOYL Classes will take place on Friday evenings from 7pm to 8pm. • SOYL Classes will last from 6 to 8 weeks (our goal is to keep the youth coming)

  16. Goal Cont • Once youth complete SOYL, they will be given the opportunity to open Life Groups that will take place on Friday evenings from 6:30 – 8pm prior to JG.

  17. Young Adults/QUEST • This portion of the ministry will focus on ministering and equipping young adults between the ages of 18 - 25.

  18. PURPOSE • To provide an atmosphere for young adults to have a deeper relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We are in the process of implementing a team to take the lead on this aspect of the ministry.

  19. Special Task Force • A Leadership Teamhas been formulated to assist with building curriculum around youth development, social interaction and the implementation of youth ministry development. Our meeting was scheduled for Saturday, February 19, 2011 from 10:30am to Noon.

  23. 5th Sundays 5th Sundays have been designated as Youth Sunday. Our Plan • to train and equip our youth for leadership within the ministry. • to ensure that our youth are involved in different aspects of the ministry.

  24. The Purpose • To ensure that our youth are involved in different aspects of the ministry. • To ensure that our youth would be in charge of the entire service on Youth Sunday. • To ensure that our youth are trained and equipped to serve the Body of Christ.

  25. Steps Being Taken • Set up a time to meet with all ministry team leaders. • Provide a schedule and time for training. • Use the next few months to equip our youth by training them and then allowing them to serve with the adult teams on a consistent basis. • Collaborate with ministry teams to provide a schedule for youth to minister at least once a month with adults.

  26. Goal • To train our youth to be Ushers, Greeters and Armor-bearers, Gate-Keepers and as Servant Council Members. • To train more youth in the Multi-Media Ministry.
