  3. 1- SYLVIAN FISSURE • 2- ANTERIOR HORN OF LATERAL VENTRICLE • 3- 4TH VENTRICLE • 4- WHITE MATTER (DARKER) • 5- GREY MATTER (LIGHTER)

  4. 1- choroid plexus ( note it appears grey inside the black ventricle)

  5. 1- quadrigeminal (or supra-cerebellar cistern) • 2- Folia of cerebellum (note the black lines) • 3- sylvian fissure • 4- 3rd ventricle • Note : around the 3rd ventricle there is Hypodensity (Dark) this is the Thalamus

  6. 1- posterior horn of lateral ventricle. • 2- Sulcus (black due to CSF) • 3- Gyrus ( grey)

  7. 1- this is the MCA ( Middle cerebral artery as seen on CT enhanced contrast study) • Note : there are 2 small white Dots (Green arrow) this is the Anterior cerebral artery (ACA) , communicating with middle cerebral artery

  8. 1- Straight sinus (venous) as seen on CT enhanced contrast study

  9. Interventricular hemorrhage

  10. 1- bleeding inside ventricle 2- bleeding in the Brain Parenchyma

  11. Diffuse axonal injury

  12. You must know how cerebral edema looks. • Brain herniation is not important. • You must know ventricles, sulci, gyri, grey matter , white matter, Basal ganglia
