  1. 1º ESO A LANDSCAPES

  2. CHANGES IN RELIEF 1º ESO A EROSION CHANGES IN RELIEF EROSION SEDIMENTATION SEDIMENTATION

  3. SEDIMENTATION 1º ESO A Process for which the solid material transported by a water current settles at the back of a river , reservoir or artificial channel The sea accumulates the sediments, contributing to the shape of the landscape. In this way beaches are formed.

  4. EROSION 1º ESO A Degradation and the transport of the material or substances of the soil.

  5. Causes of erosion 1º ESO A The most important agents of erosion are: Temperature Water Wind Human beings

  6. Causes of erosion 1º ESO A Water Fluvial erosion • Rivers travel fast down steep slopes. They erode materials and create: • deep valleys • canyons Colorado canyon

  7. Causes of erosion 1º ESO A Water Fluvial erosion • When the slopes are gentler, the water moves more slowly. • It transports the eroded materials • When the rivers arrive at the platter lands , they deposit sediment on their banks .

  8. Causes of erosion 1º ESO A Water Marine erosion Waves and currents wear away coasts and create cliffs . Water transports the sediments , deposits it , and forms beaches.

  9. Causes of erosion 1º ESO A Temperature Temperature erosion Abrupt changes in temperature can break rocks. Water infiltrates through rocks. When it freezes, it expands, and the rocks break.

  10. Causes of erosion 1º ESO A Wind Wind transports sand or soil and deposits them in other places Human beings are also responsible for changing landscapes with our activities. Human beings
