  1. Canadian Employers may use Email Submission for Job Offers if Technical Difficulties in Employer Portal Persist - December 12, 2015

  2. Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) has announced a program update concerning the International Mobility Program (IMP) and the Employer Portal. The Employer Portal was initially launched on October 26, 2015, replacing the email submission method of the Offer of Employment to a Foreign National exempt from the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) form [IMM 5802]. The Employer Portal manages the processing of offers of employment made by Canadian employers to foreign workers through the IMP. These job offers do not require a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) to be obtained. Job offers that do require a LMIA are made through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program.
