Course Contents • APPLICATION OF CIRCUIT LAWS Kirchhoff’s Law, Voltage and Current Divider, Star/Delta Transformation • METHODS OF CIRCUIT ANALYSIS Mesh Analysis, Nodal Analysis • NETWORK THEOREMS I Superposition Theorem, Source Transformation, Thevenin Theorem, Norton Theorem • NETWORK THEOREMS II Maximum Power Transfer, Power Factor Correction • RESONANCE CIRCUIT Series Resonance Circuits, Parallel Resonance Circuit, Quality Factor Bandwidth and Selectivity

DC TRANSIENT ANALYSIS Natural Response of RL and RC Circuit, Step Response of RL and RC Circuit • TWO PORT NETWORKS Z – Parameter, Y – Parameter, T(ABCD) – Parameter, Terminated Two Port Networks • MAGNETICALLY COUPLED CIRCUIT Self and Mutual Inductance, Coupling Coefficient (K) and Dot Determination

  9. ASSESSMENT • Final : 50% • Coursework : 50% Detailed of coursework: • Laboratory : 20% • Theory Test 1 & 2 : 20% • Laboratory Test : 10%
