  1. What causes Arthritis? ARTHRITIS is any disorder that affects joints, common Causes can be Age Gender Genetic Excess weight Infections Injuries Types of Arthritis OSTEOARTHRITIS "Wear and tear" happens with the age when joints are overused. The most common sites are Knee/Hip joints.

  2. RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS, immune system starts to attack parts of the body, especially small joints of Hand/Feet, Hip/Knee/Elbow/Shoulder. GOUT cause small crystals of a chemical called uric acid that form in the joints. The small joint at the base of the big toe is the most common site for an attack.

  3. PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS is a condition that combines the swollen, sore joints of arthritis with psoriasis. Psoriasis causes itchy, scaly red patches to appear on your skin and scalp. Hand/Feet are the common sites.

  4. Arthritis Symptoms Swollen or Stiff Joints Clicking or cracking sound of joints Pain after activity Redness /Tenderness Weight Loss Decreased range of motion Can Arthritis be treated? Medicines Analgesics/Anti-inflammatory is effective to ease pain; Immunosuppressant to prevent relapse of disease. Physical Therapy is for joint mobilization. Weight Loss Brace or Splint to prevent deformity progression. Exercise Surgery recommended for advanced cases - Total Knee/Hip/Shoulder/Elbow Replacement. Biologic medication is newer trend, given by injection or infusion for remission of disease activity. Note: Do consult your Specialist before initiating any Treatment.
