  1. Hip and Knee Replacement Surgery Dr Himanshu Gupta is a internationally trained orthopedic surgeon with specialization in sports medicine and Joint Replacement surgeries. He is a Gold medalist from Department of orthopedic Surgery, King George Medical Collage Lucknow and completed his M.ch (Orth) from the American Institute Of Medicine , University of Seychelles. His academic qualifications also include fellowships in Joint Replacement surgeries from Leelavati Hospital and Breach Candy Hospital Mumbai and from Centre of Arthoplasty , Askleopis Hospital and University Hospital , Mannheim in Germany . Hip Replacement Total Hip Replacement(THR) is the replacement of the diseased joint by an artificial implant. The hip is a simple ball-and-socket joint where the thighbone joins with the pelvis. When these joint surfaces become roughened, causing severe pain and stiffness, the ball-and-socket has to be replaced. The artificial ball-and-socket is then fitted together to function as a normal knee joint. At AmiCare Hospital, as it is an Orthopedics Specialist, we provide TKR at best possible yet economical care and treatment. During the operation, an artificial joint will replace the diseased joint. Knee Replacement Total Knee Replacement (TKR) is the replacement of the diseased knee joint by an artificial implant. During total knee replacement surgery, the diseased and/or arthritic ends of the bones are removed. A metal component is secured to the femur, and plastic components are attached to the tibia and patella. In this way, the smooth surfaces of the knee joint are restored, pain-free motion is again possible and it works as a normal knee joint. At AmiCare Hospital, as it is an Orthopedics Specialist, we provide TKR at best possible yet economical care and treatment. During the operation, an artificial knee joint will replace the diseased joint.
