  3. FFA Membership • Membership is paid for through affiliation program • Students may purchased shirt for $12.50

  4. Quality Counts • Every student showing through AMC FFA must complete Quality Counts by November 1, 2017, this will be done during their ag class! • Must give verification number/certificate to Ms. Lewandowski

  5. Requirement for Eligibility • Sell 15 Items in Fruit and Meat Sale • Attend 3/4 FFA meetings between September and January • Participate in 2 Community Service Events (this will take place during FFA meetings)

  6. Requirement for Eligibility cont. • Sign SAE Agreement Form • Update SAE’s prior by one week before show • Passing all classes according to UIL schedule • If showing majors must attend major show entry night on November 2, 2017 @ 6pm Ms. Lewandowski’s classroom

  7. Livestock to Raise • Turkeys • Major and BCYLS orders were due August 15th • Lambs and Goat • Major and BCYLS orders were due August 18th • Validation is October 16th @ Expo • Tags $20

  8. Livestock to Raise • Halter Steers • BCYLS tag orders due September 11th • BCYLS Tags $5 • BCYLS Validation October 9th • Fall Heifers • Tag orders due September 11th • Validation October 30th @ Extension office @ 5:30pm

  9. Livestock to Raise • Broilers/Chickens • Major orders due September 11th • BCYLS orders due October 18th • Must order increments of 25 @ $1.50 a bird

  10. Livestock to Raise • Swine • Major and BCYLS tag orders due September 21st • Major show validation November 20th @ Expo @ 5:30-7:00pm • BCYLS validation December 11th @ Expo @ 5:30-7:00pm • Tags $20 • BCYLS Tags $5

  11. Livestock to Raise • Rabbits • Buy meat pens or buy breeders and raise your meat pen • Start shopping in Nov/early Dec

  12. Record Keeping • www.theaet.com • Must be completed one week prior to show and include all feed costs, pen rent etc. • Proficiency Awards • FFA Degrees • FFA Scholarship
