  9. The Diploma Programme • The DP Programme consists of 6 Groups • One course must be taken in each category • The courses are: • Higher Level (HL) courses (240 hr) • Standard Level (SL) courses (150 hr)

Creativity, Activity, Service • CAS is a requirement of the IB Diploma Programme • CAS will be completed by students over 2 year period (in Gr. 11 & Gr. 12) • IB students will be engaged with the 3 strands of CAS • Each strand is designed to address a different aspect of a student’s life beyond academic

Mandatory Course Selection (7) The above SEVEN (7) credits are mandatory for continuation to the IB DP programme • Students must also select one elective to complete their timetable (or two if Careers/Civics was taken in the summer after Grade 9). • Students wishing to take all 3 sciences could attempt to take a science outside of the IB Program during Semester 2 (However, this cannot be guaranteed to fit in their schedule.)
