  2. Overview • Collection & Analysis of 2006-07 Path Flow data • Collection & Analysis of 2006-07 ATC and Schedule data • RFP for vendor database service

  3. I. 2006-07 Path Flow Data • WECC staff currently gathering 2006-07 path flow data from PI database • HAWG plans to complete analysis of 2006-07 path flow data by April 1, 2008 • Results will be used for: • TAS Model verification • US DOE Congestion Study • Update previous Path Flow Reports

II. 2006-07 ATC & Schedule data • Data Sources – • ATC data from OASIS • Schedule data from Etags • Issues related to collection and use of ATC and Schedule data • Need to determine what data to collect • Need to understand how to convert POR POD data to WECC path data (understanding how TP’s calculate and post their data) • Need to map POR PODs to WECC paths (may be hundreds of POR PODs for each WECC path) • Need approval to use Etag data • Considering using OATI to collect Etag and WestTrans data • Need to explore funding options • HAWG will analyze data to: • Identify historically congested WECC paths for TEPPC • Identify historically congested WECC paths for US DOE Congestion Study

RFP • Concept: Vendor development/support of a west wide commercial database • Database available to WECC staff, Subregional Planning Groups, WECC Members • Include vendor provided/user friendly analytical tools • “continuously” updated commercial database • Need to resolve database “issues” before we can issue RFP • Schedule: • Issue RFP – September 2008 • Start Pilot Project – October 2008 (6 months, limited number of paths) • Start full project in 2nd quarter 2009
