The PDQ is defined as “an important human resource management document. It describes the duties and responsibilities of the position; establishes the essential elements of the position for Americans with Disabilities Act purposes; is the primary document for determining job classification; and, sets the pay range for theposition.”The PDQ is the official description of a position, used to determine the proper occupational field and job class. A job class is a category used to describe positions whose essential character, nature of work, and job responsibilities warrants the same pay grade, title, and qualifications.
