Expectations Leverage the buying power of Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) by selecting partners for computer acquisitions. • Lower price • Lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) • Standardization • Increased efficiencies/best practices • Local small business participation • Value added benefits from exclusive five year partnership

  3. Cost Savings Over a 2 year period SDHC purchased 14,767 Desktop Computers at a cost of $13,482,271 Using the State of Florida contract we would have purchased 13,187 for the same expenditure. As a result of the contract, we purchased 1,579 more desktop computers .

Value Added Benefits • Credit/Rebate • HP provides a credit return of 1.5 to 3.5 percent based on purchase volume. • In the first two years of the partnershipHCPS received $615,640 in rebates back to the district. • Software • Each laptop and desktop computer receives instructional software valued at $150 computer as part of the standard image. • Microsoft Office is included on all computers. • Matching funds • HP donated $200,000 to the Hillsborough Education Foundation to support a matching funds program for technology

Increased efficiencies • HCPS standard computers included in Lawson item master.This helps to ensure compliance with standards. • Governance Policy and Procedures have been implemented as an adjunct to standards implementation. • Planning for future years has been enhanced by the quarterly reviews • Price comparisons are reviewed quarterly.
