  5. 4. Topic Sentences, Supporting Ideas, and Concluding Sentence • Introduction  Division  Example • Practices: --3 paragraphs for finding topic sentence --2 paragraphs for picking up unsupportive sentences. --3 paragraphs for writing concluding sentence Time: 2 Weeks

  6. 5. Thesis Statement • Introduction  Division  Practice • Practice:use a question to turn a vague generalization into an effective thesis statement • 6 topics for practicing revising thesis statement • Time: 1 Week

  7. 6. Grammar Correcting Practice • 20 Questions • Time: 1 Week

  8. Total: • 6 Units for 9 Weeks
