Day Seven: Anxiety & Mood Disorder Performances • Warm Up • What is the difference between an anxiety disorder and a mood disorder? • Anxiety and Mood Disorder Activity • In groups of four, you will have 25 minutes to figure out the mental disorder the scenario is describing and to formulate a plan to act out the scenario for the class. • The last 25 minutes of class each group will perform their skits and pose the same questions to the class to answer. • Homework • Journal Two (Due Sunday, April 27)

  2. Journal Two • Pick one disorder that Sonia and Julia in the video suffer from. Explain using evidence from the video why you believe they suffer from this particular disorder. (i.e. if you propose they suffer from schizophrenia, what criteria must they meet in order to be diagnosed?) Next, explain how they meet MUDA criteria. Lastly, explain at least two potential causes i.e. biological, learning, social-cognitive factors, etc. and why you believe these factors might have been the source of the disorder.
