The SBP meal pattern is being phased-in over multiple years, this presentation addresses only those requirements in effect SY 2013-14. • Using the food-based meal pattern, SBP sponsors must plan breakfast meals that meet the calorie ranges and dietary requirements, on average, over the course of the week.

  9. SBP - Grains • Offer at least 1 oz. eq. of grains per day to age/grades K-5, 6-8 and 9-12. No daily maximum. • 50% of the grains offered must be whole grain rich (WGR).
