  2. Maria Theresa She was the only female ruler of the Habsburg dominions and the last of the House of Habsburg. Shewasborn 13th May 1717 in Vienna. She was the sovereign of Austria, Hungary, Croatia, Bohemia, the Austrian Netherlands and Parma. Marie Therese lost a seven-year war with Prussia(1956-1963). She reigned 40 years from 1740 to 1780.
