The Process • Step 1 • Declaration of Intention – I want to be a U.S. Citizen • Step 2 – petition for Naturalization • apply after 5 years , pay money • Step 3 – Identity • Two pictures and fingerprints to USCIS • Step 4 – Interview • Questions about yourself/history • Knowledge of English and Citizenship Test • Step 5 – Oath of Allegiance
