Curriculum Transformation New curriculum to begin in Fall 2010 Maintaining strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences Medicinal chemistry will closely align with pharmacology PharmD investigations project will continue New courses: Self-care therapeutics (P1) Communications (P1) Health systems (adding more in P2 and P3) Service learning (required) Ethics Life-long learning Teaching style - more active learning methods More emphasis on professionalism, leadership , law, community service, public health

Experiential Curriculum P1 year P4 shadow on rotations Pharmacist career interview/shadowing Community pharmacist shadow (part of community pharmacy course) Interprofessional exercises/shadowing Career Gateway event LEPE (community partner interviews) Lifelong learning (e.g., attend pharmacy meetings, patient education/ disease screening events)
