1. ‘Tanzania Child Rights Forum’ Institutional Framework
a ‘loose’ network, NOT TO BE REGISTERED YET!
Membership is open to all CSOs participating in forums that have interest in Child Rights issues and there is no membership fee
Coordination and host of resources is through coordinating organization agreed by the forum
Resources to be shared among CSOs to achieve a common purpose 1
2. ‘Tanzania Child Rights Forum’ Mode of Operation
It will work through members CSOs and existing Networks
There will be quarterly assessment on child rights issues using TWG sessions and report shared
There will be annual forum of all CSOs working on Child Rights issues and a Report to be published on the status of children rights in Tanzania (CSO’s perspective) 2
3. ‘Tanzania Child Rights Forum’ Our Approach
The approach will look into ways of ‘partnering with government to influence changes and avoid as much as possible provocative approach’
Will expose best practices and share opportunities, experiences and challenges among CSOs in different places of the countries through e-forum, local and international forums
Will work with the government to ensure CSOs participate and have timely information on policies and legislation issues related to children.
Projects that are within the experts of the members to be carried out by member organization
4. ‘Tanzania Child Rights Forum’ Forum’s Governance
MoU to be signed by all those believe in a group indicating members commitment and the role and mandate of each part the coordinating organization and the members in the Forum
Employed coordinator reporting to the head of coordinating organization and accountable to the Forum
Technical Working group of experts under the ToRs to be appointed annually and seasonally to meet for quarterly assessment and when needed to work on specific assignments
