  2. Question #1: Why has the fast food industry grown rapidly? It has become one of our major cultural exports.

  3. Question # 2: What changes would you like to see instituted within the fast food industry and the government agencies regulating it? Eric wants to ban advertisement of unhealthy food to children. We’ve banned cigarette ads on TV, even though they were advertised to adults. Obesity may surpass as the leading cause of preventable deaths

  4. Question 3: Do you foresee any changes in the industry in the near future? The solution lie with consumers and within the major fast food chains.

  5. Authors Purpose: • P.S. at the end of the book consists of insights, interviews, and tells about the author. Purpose: Eric put the interviews in the book to give the readers more information on what his views are and to give some advice to consumers about food.

  6. Did he prove his point? I believe Eric proved his point because he used facts and statistics but wrote a book on a subject the affects everyone.

  7. Did the author prove their point? Yes, because he included background information and facts.

  8. Was the author bias? No, his major points were on consumers health. He wasn’t derogative towards the companies of fast food.
