  1. Ministry of Trade & IndustryGeneral Directorate of Companies’ Registration Registration and regulation of local and foreign companies, as well as trade agencies are its work range. It regulates private sectors and promote them to act and do business through companies in Kurdistan Region in accordance with Companies Law No. 21 of the year 1997 as amended by Order No. 64 in 2004.

  2. Local Companies • Get a Trade Name ( Name \ Activity \ Type ) • Open a bank account, no less than 1000,000 Iraqi Dinars (for construction Co.s; no less than 200,000,000 Iraqi Dinars) • Make articles of incorporation; state Co.s objects and name of the founders THEN START THE EASY PROCESS OF REGISTRATION * Foreigners can establish a local company with %100 ownership without a local partner

  3. Foreign Companies • Bring documents of the company from the mother country • Certificate of incorporation • Articles of incorporation • Balance sheet of the last two years • Official letter from the mother company * Contract with the government is not required in Registration process Open a branch of your company, and start to do business and invest in the most stable and secure area (Kurdistan Region) * Foreign branches registered in Kurdistan Region are nearly thrice as number of registered foreign branches in the whole Iraq.

  4. Total number of Registered Companies in Kurdistan Region Trade AgenciesA contract of getting the agency no less than 2 years period validity is required to act as agent in Kurdistan Region, and register the agency in Companies Registration
