This presentation is about: • Questioning the Quran’s claim to be the [final] word of God, and Muhammad’s claim to be a prophet of God (not to say the seal of the prophets) • Questioning Muslims’ claim that the Quran promises life and life eternal • Straightening out some of the most common misconceptions about Islam in the western world

The Muslim Dilemma: 1- Believe in the Quran 2- Believe in the Bible 4:136 O you who believe, do believe in Allah and His Messenger and in the Book He has revealed to His Messenger and in the Books He has revealed earlier. Whoever disbelieves in Allah and His angels and His Books and His Messengers and the Last Day has indeed gone far astray.

Surely, truth has come to you from your Lord, so never be among those who are suspicious. The Bible was not corrupted before Muhammad’s time!

What really happened 2:75-79 O Muslims do you still fancy that [The Jews] will believe you, although a group of them used to hear the word of Allah, and then, having understood it, used to distort it knowingly? When they meet those who believe, they say, “We believe.” But when some of them meet others in private, they say, “Do you tell [the Muslims] what Allah has disclosed to you so that they may thereby argue against you before your Lord? Will you, then, not use reason?” Are they not aware that Allah knows what they conceal and what they reveal? And some among them are illiterate who have no knowledge of the Book, but have some fancies and do nothing but conjecture. So, woe to those who write the Book with their hands and then say, “This is from Allah”, so that they may gain thereby a trifling price. Then, woe to them for what their hands have written, and woe to them for what they earn.

First: Printing has not yet been invented and the Bible was not abundantly available in Arabia Second: The Bible was not yet translated into Arabic. • Third: Jewish community around Muhammad was: • Prejudiced against Arabs • Ignorant • Peddling the word of God for profit (see 2 Cor. 2:17) • Fourth: though he loved the Bible, Muhammad was illiterate

  28. 16:103 We know well that they say, “There is a man who teaches him.” The language of the one they refer to is non-Arabic while this is clear Arabic language. 29:48 You (O Prophet,) have never been reciting any book before this, nor have you been writing it with your right hand; had it been so, the adherents of falsehood would have raised doubts.

  29. The real reason why Muslims say that the Bible is corrupt because the Jews around Muhammad in his time actually did corrupt what they shared with Arabs Yet the Bible had already spread from Russia in the East to Ireland in the west-- and all its copies matched each other!!

Say, “This has been brought down by the Holy Spirit from your Lord. 2:106 Whenever We abrogate a verse or cause it to be forgotten, We bring one better than it or one equal to it.
