FIU was in the lowest 27% in salary for Full Professors • FIU was in the lowest 35% in salary for Associate Professors • FIU was in the lowest 52% (top 48%) in salary for Assistant Professors Compared to US Public DRE Universities

Are we all in it together? In 2002-2003, the average FIU faculty raise was 4.1% (2.5% plus 1.6% special merit). That year: • The average raise of the academic deans was 8.5% • The Provost’s raise was 12.2% • The President’s raise was 41.1%
Other factors to consider • Salary comparisons are as of 2003. When this year’s data is out FIU will fare worse because other Universities got reasonable increases this year. • FIU raises do not go into effect at the start of the academic year. If that is taken into account we fare worse.
