Provide cross training and sharing to improve coordination between networking and other school improvement services. Provide school administrators and principals with fast facts, memorandums of agreement, and periodic meetings with district administrative teams. • Develop a proactive and automated monitoring system for network services. • Be more aggressive in identifying grant and alternative funding sources to support the acquisition of new technology. • Develop a formal security/disaster recovery plan addressing off site back-ups, etc.

  8. Technology Consultants • Transfer eRate support to a more appropriate place in the agency so that Tech Consultants can focus on PD and technical support • Consultants need to be included in the GWAEA leadership development so that they can articulate and strategize a more coherent vision of their mission. • Begin collecting data on work requests to use for long-range planning. • Collaborate/Coordinate with content area consultants. Technology should be integrated throughout the agency. • Maximize TIMP mentors in the districts and potentially extend their reach/responsibilities. • Use videoconferencing and/or distance learning tools to deliver professional development and consulting services.
