  1. VoiceThread for students!

  2. Where are the VoiceThreads?Look for the blue globe icon above the matching assessment.

  3. Once you click on a VoiceThread, you may see a slide like this. Click on the course title if you do. Otherwise, the VoiceThread will open once you click on it.

  4. If you needed to click on a course title, as shown on the previous slide, click on the Voice Thread that you need to work on.

  5. The first time in VoiceThread, you will have the option of having an avatar or of uploading your photo to represent your VoiceThread response. You can also choose to do it at another time, which will default to the avatar. Don’t worry, your name will appear with the avatar!

  6. Now, any audio directions from your instructor will begin playing. Your instructor’s photo will appear as well.If your instructor used video for the directions, it will open at this time. Your instructor’s photo & audio will play here. Your avatar

  7. Step 1: to begin recording your response, click the bubble next to the word “Comment”. Step 2, click the word “record” and begin speaking

  8. Once your response is complete, just click “Save”. You may re-record by clicking “Cancel”. Click on the color wheel for a pencil to highlight a response

  9. Your instructor will be emailed each time you complete a VoiceThread activity.

  10. Now, close the VoiceThread by clicking the “X”

  11. Finally, open the corresponding assessment, upload any required files and/or leave a completion message for your instructor.

  12. TROUBLESHOOTING If you encounter this slide after listening to your instructor’s directions, please click on the back arrow to return to the directions slide. please alert your students to the "back arrow" button on the (see image below). This button will bring your students back to the directions slide.
