  3. Sea Grass • Sea grass looks like normal plants. • They live in the sea, and take energy from the sun. • They are very flexible and bend with any water movement.

  4. Phytoplankton - They look like a germ. - They live in the water. - They eat nutrients. - The phytoplankton need nutrients and appropriate water temperature to survive.

  5. Sea Turtle • Sea turtles look much like any other turtle, but sea turtles are larger than land turtles and have feet that are flipper-like to allow them to swim with ease. • They live in the coral reef. • Sea turtles are reptiles. • They have cold blood. • Sea turtles eat clams, shrimps, and jellyfish.

  6. Dolphins - Some dolphins are gray. - Most dolphins eat parrot fish, mollusks or small crustaceans. - They are found all over the world. Sometimes they live in only a small area. - They get trapped in huge driftnets and hauled in nets set around schools of tuna.

  7. Jellyfish • Jellyfish are carnivorous. They eat mostly phytoplankton, small fish and sometimes other jellyfish. • Jellyfish live in the ocean. • A jellyfish has no head, brain, heart, eyes, or ears. • Jellyfish are eaten mostly by spadefish, sunfish, and loggerhead turtles.

  8. Parrot Fish • Parrot fish eat corals. • Many of their species have bright colored skin such as blue, yellow, and green. • Parrot fish live all across the equator. • There are over 90 species of parrot fish.

  9. Sponge - They look like a rock, but not like a rock that we see every day. - They are found in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean. - They eat little particles that are so small we can’t see them. - They are in the bottom of the ocean for seafood.

  10. Predatory Fish • Predatory fish species are found all over the world. Predatory fish can use a wide range of senses in order to locate a suitable prey. • They eat fish smaller than themselves, and they are carnivorous fish.

  11. Reef Shark • Sharks live all over the world. There are more than 300 different kinds. • They are fierce hunters with sharp teeth to kill their prey. • Some sharks live in the middle and on the surface of the ocean. • There are on average 40 feet long (or even bigger). • Sharks mostly eat predatory fish, and small fish.

  12. Corals • Corals look like very colorful plants. It feels very weird like sea weed. • They live in Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Red Sea . • They feed on bacteria. • They need sea animals, plants, and bacteria to survive.
