  1. WATCH THIS TREND: OAK FURNITURE This year, oak woods have had a significant influence on interior design, and it appears that trend will continue into the winter. Due to the popularity of darker woods in recent seasons, the honey tones are stepping up this year. Oak woods have a particular elegance that gives a space a more natural feel. These days, a lot of people are concerned about the environment, and that concern has filtered into interior design. Look for pieces that will brighten your space when selecting furniture in oak wood tones, like the light oak coffee table. Oak-colored wooden furniture will work well in both traditional and modern households. Go for something unfussy that isn’t too weighty to open up the room and add a sense of completion. Fortunately, pastel colors are still popular, and they go well with honey- toned woods like pine, cherry, chestnut, and oak. Although many items have pastel colors in their design, putting oak bedroom furniture next to a pastel or white accent wall will draw attention. There is no reason why honey-colored wood cannot be used for lighting. This is ideal for a bedroom that might not get as much light as other rooms in the house at this time of year because it will just enhance the room's airy vibe. Alternatively, choose an oak bed with built-in lights to accomplish two goals at once. The oak the color, the better if wood flooring is something you're considering. Oak bedroom furniture sets are much easier to maintain clean and feel a lot less onerous because dark wood is infamous for revealing everything. Consider painting the walls an oak color and adding a few light wood furnishings if your room already has dark wood floors. The key is to avoid mixing too many various wood tones, even if they are all light since this can make the room look too haphazard and prevent it from having the desired effect of bringing space and nature into it. Consider the maxim "less is more" and relish bringing the earthy honey tones of the 1990s back into your space to avoid having your space appear cluttered.
