Recruiting Family Facts • Two-thirds of recruiting Soldiers and Families live 50 miles or more from military installation • Delivery of service hindered by distance from service providers • Absence of standard military Family support system causes feelings of isolation • Excessive travel sometimes required in order to volunteer, receive training, or attend/support military functions (i.e., ATC, newcomer orientation, FRG, and AFTB)
