  1. The International Day of Prayer 2011 for the Persecuted Church Jesus commands us in Matthew 5:44, “But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.” Pray God will reveal Himself to the persecutors, that their eyes might be opened to the freedom found in Christ.

  2. Iran As persecution increases in Iran, many pastors are fleeing for their lives. The pastors often receive death threats, saying they must deny Christ or be killed. Pray for Christians’ safety throughout Iran.

  3. Pakistan Pakistan’s blasphemy law condemns blasphemy against any religion but is only applied to Islam. Muslims often use this blasphemy law to imprison or threaten Christians. Pray Pakistani leadership changes the blasphemy laws.

  4. Colombia In Columbia, many FARC guerrillas have never heard the gospel. Christians are risking their lives to spread the gospel in FARC-controlled areas. Pray FARC guerillas would hear and understand God’s Word.

  5. North Korea Oppressive, isolated North Korea is one of the worst persecutors of Christians in the world. Ask God to protect North Korean Christians while giving them the strength to endure.

  6. Egypt Amidst the upheaval of protests and violence, Egyptians Christians still have limited rights to worship. They are threatened, and churches are often destroyed. Pray for God’s protection over Egyptian Christians.

  7. Indonesia At least 30 churches in Indonesia have been burned or closed in 2011. Pastors have faced arrest and false charges. Pray church congregations in Indonesia remain strong despite this ongoing persecution.

  8. Pakistan Asia Bibi, a wife and mother, sits in prison sentenced to death for blasphemy against the prophet Muhammad. She has appealed the verdict. Pray for Bibi and her family.

  9. Pakistan In January 2010, ImranGhafurMasih was sentenced to life in prison and fined 100,000 rupees ($1,155 U.S.) for allegedly burning pages of the Quran. Pray for Imran, who said he is using his time in prison to study God’s Word.

  10. Iran In Iran, Pastor YoucefNadarkhani’s case has been delayed and referred to the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Pray God will convict Khamenei’s heart to dismiss Nadarkhani’s case.

  11. Bibles Unbound VOM’s Bibles Unbound program continues to send Bibles to Christians that need them. Pray God will speak to and empower your brothers and sisters in Christ who receive these Bibles.
