  1. James 4:11-12 11 Do not speak evil of one another, brethren. He who speaks evil of a brother and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12 There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?

  2. JUDGINGthe WORD Are Christians guilty of passing judgment on the Word?

  3. ARROGANCE • How is a Christian to worship God? • The Holy Spirit had a few thoughts… • John 4:19-24 • 1 Cor. 11:1, 23-26 • 1 Cor. 16:1-2 • Col. 3:16 • Eph. 5:19 • Acts 2:42 • How have those who profess Christianity judged God’s word? “Old Fashioned” “Irrelevant” “Traditional”

  4. INDIFFERENCE • What is the work of the church? • The Holy Spirit had a few thoughts… • 1 Tim. 5:3-4, 16 • Matt. 28:18 • Eph. 1:22-23 • Col. 3:17 • 1 Cor. 4:17 • How have those who profess Christianity judged God’s word? “Starbucks, bookstores & boutiques” “Social over spiritual” “The means don’t matter”

  5. IGNORANCE • Are you willingly ignorant of basic Bible matters? • The Holy Spirit wants us to know and understand… • Eph. 5:15-17 • 2 Tim. 2:15 • John 8:31-32 • Col. 1:9-10 • Hos. 4:6 • How have those who profess Christianity judged God’s word? “It is just not important enough to know and understand”

  6. James 2:8-12 8 If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; 9 but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. 10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. 12 So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.
