Fence at Whipsnade Tree Cathedral Punctelia reddenda(Photo irishlichens.ie) 19 lichen species found on a rotting fence, including 3 new to Bedfordshire: Lecanora aitema Lecanora albella Punctelia reddenda P. reddenda is a significant and unexpected record. Typically found on trees in damp ancient woodland in southern England and west Wales. National Trust has installed new supporting structure allowing original timber to be retained in situ.
