  1. Horticulture Science Class Rules

  2. 1. Please be in your assigned seat and quiet when the bell rings.

  3. 2. If you enter the room after the bell rings you are tardy. You get 3 free tardies per semester. I will accept 3 written parent excuses per semester. After 3, detentions will be issued. 3 unexcused tardies = detention4 unexcused tardies = detention5 or more unexcused tardies = referral to security

  4. Class begins when I start roll call. I will say, “It’s time to begin.”

  5. 4. There will be no talking after I have started the class.

  6. 5. Raise your hand if you have questions. Please wait until after I have taken roll call.

  7. 6. Quiettalking is OK while we are working on assignments or projects.

  8. 7. Do not yell or talk across the room.

  9. 8. Do not make ANY sexual, racial, or any kind of inappropriate comments.

  10. 9. Bring your notebook, paper, and pen/pencil to class each day. Students who do not bring the required materials to class will be sent to SMC and will need to come in after school to complete their assignments.

  11. 10. Stay in your assigned seat.

  12. 11. Use appropriate language at all times.

  13. 12. Keep your hands to yourself – do not touch anyone else.

  14. 13. Do not throw anything.

  15. 14. Food and drinks are not allowed in class. Water is OK.

  16. 15. Do not rock back in your chair – this can cause injury and break the chairs.

  17. 16. Keep feet off of the tables.

  18. 17. Do not write on the tables.

  19. 18. The computers are for appropriate school work only. Games and other non-school use is not allowed. Those who break the rules with the computers will be banned from using them.

  20. 19. Do not use IPODS, cell phones, or any other electronic devises in class. Internet capable cell phones may be used for appropriate research during class.

  21. 20. Do not write on the tables.

  22. 21. We will clean up 3 minutes prior to the end of class. Bathrooms will be opened by the TA at this time. Return to the classroom immediately after using the restroom.

  23. 22. Do not stand by the door or leave the room until the bell rings.

  24. 23. Students who exhibit ANY kind of dangerous or unsafe behavior in class, in the greenhouses, or out in the horticulture area may be removedfrom this class and lose all credit.

  25. Disciplinary steps for breaking any of the class rules or any kind of inappropriate conduct: One Warning. 2. Detention, parent contact. Detention, parent contact. Referral to security/principal.
