  3. Purpose • …To realize that there are advantages for birds in looking how they do. • …To recognize some of the ways in which birds are physically adapted to their environments.

  4. Assignment • Take a look at the following pictures of birds. All the birds are identified for you. • With your partner, discuss what the adaptations are for each bird. • Look at how they are adapted to their environment. • Compare birds and their body parts. • Decide what the advantages are for looking how they do.

  5. Assignment • Create a chart with three columns. • Label your columns Adaptation, Bird, Advantage. • Fill in the information. • Be neat.
