  2. Common methods to transfer pictures, etc. • Your device manufacturer’s software and USB cable • AutoPlay • Send To • Copy and Paste • Drag and Drop (not recommended)

REVIEW: AutoPlay • AutoPlay is a dialog box that pops when you plug in removable media or devices. • AutoPlay examines the content on the media or the properties of the device. • Based on what AutoPlay found, the dialog box will show a list of options for you to consider. • If you don’t see the options you expected, click on “View more AutoPlay Options” in the dialog box. • Alternatively - use your device’s cable and software.

  7. Computer Files: • All pictures, videos, music, and documents in your computer are known as computer files. • Every computer file has a name and an extension. For example: “filename.jpg” • The extension “.jpg” tells AutoPlay and your computer that this file is a picture. • Common file extensions are: Pictures: .jpg, .bmp, ...Music: .mp3, .wav, .wma ... Video: .mpg ... Documents: .doc, .docx, .xls, .xlsx ...
