  1. Change of Mind – 8th May (12:00) to 1st July (17:15) 2011 Change of Mind(Post Primary school students)For Full Details See CAO Handbook

  2. Change of Mind – Things to do Before • Make sure you check the Statement of Course choices to ensure that there are no mistakes. • Before doing your Change of Mind check the list of changes to the CAO Handbook, many courses may have been cancelled and many new ones added. • Before you include any new course always check the Entry Requirements for the course on www.qualifax.ie • If at all possible try to use the on-line system as it will prevent you making mistakes.

  3. Change of Mind – Things to Remember • Always print out a copy of your changes. • There is no fee for using the Change of Mind facility. • You may change course choices (without fee) as often as you wish, up to 17:15 on the 1st July. • If you change online, and have supplied an email address, an acknowledgement will also be sent to that email address.

  4. Change of Mind – Things to be Careful of • If you submit a Change of Mind, it cancels and supersedes all the previous course choices in any category in which changes are made. • If you wish to change one course within a level, then you write out the new list in full including the change • Level 8 and Level 7/6 are considered to be completely separate from each other e.g. a change of Level 8 course choices will not affect Level 7/6 choices.

  5. Change of Mind – More Things to Remember • If you make a change of mind, you will receive a revised Statement of Course Choices to confirm that your new course choices have been entered into your computer record. • If the revised Statement of Course Choices it does not arrive by 7th July, you MUST contact the CAO immediately, and provide proof of the submission of the Change of Mind.

  6. Change of Mind – Warning • DO NOT WAIT UNTIL AUGUST TO NOTIFY CAO OF ERRORS OR OMISSIONS AS IT WILL BE TOO LATE TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT THEM AT THAT STAGE. • Change of Mind Forms may NOT be submitted by FAX.
