  3. Elements of a Screenplay • Title Page: • Title of the Screenplay • Names of All Participating Group Members, • Topic • Course Name • Class Period • Script: • Set Directions and Explanations • Dialogue

  5. Things to Keep In Mind • Your script should represent a journey for the protagonist • Hero (protagonist—dynamic) • Quest (pressing want or need) • Obstacle (thing that gets in the way) • Confrontation (facing the obstacle) • Change/Lesson (result or moral)

  6. Characters Dynamic or round—both good and bad characteristics Static or flat—all good or all bad

Things to Keep in Mind (cont.) • Your group must perform the screenplay. • Your performance will be confined to one room (Social Room) • Dialogue should be impactful and limited • Actors should convey emotions more than articulate them orally • Scripts are due Thursday, May 24 • Scripts should be complete and virtually error free

Things to Keep in Mind (cont.) • All clothing and prompts for the performances MUST be appropriate for school • All language in the scripts MUST be appropriate for school • Group members will grade your contributions as well as Mrs. McCottrell, so be present, punctual, prepared, focused, and participatory at all times
