  5. Questions you should consider asking: • What curriculum does your school have? • What is the ratio between the children and the teacher? • Do you use technology to teach children or the traditional blackboard method? • What are the school hours? • How much break do they have? • Do you have extra classes for children who need more help in a subject? • What kind of extra curricular activities do you offer? • How many playgrounds do you have? Do you have a field for soccer? Do you have a gym? Do you have a basketball/volleyball court? • What kind of food does the school canteen serve? • What services do you provide for children with special needs? E.g. speech therapy, occupational therapy

  6. Conversation • What factors are important to you when enrolling your child? • Would you prefer your child excel in extra curricular activities or education? • If your child wants to become something that you did not expect, would you let him/her pursue his career? E.g. if you wanted them to be a doctor but they want to be an artist instead. • What do you think about the education system nowadays? • Was it different when you were in school? What was different? • Do you think there was more pressure in the past or now? • Nowadays in America, they are trying to include children who have special needs in the same classroom as children who do not have special needs. E.g. children who have autism are put together in a classroom who do not have special needs. What is your view on that? Would that affect your decision in enrolling your child in the same school? Why or why not?
