  3. Project Proposal Goals

Aims To build a virtual learning environment (VLE) platform environment and pilot the study : • To initially integrate VLE into semester 1 and 2 courses; • Design and build the virtual multimedia segments for the course activities; • Collect and analyze faculty and student interaction data and use of VLE in the courses; • Identify the advantages and limitations of the VLE.

Piloting the project “We’d better be ready for finals” …“This website is teaching me for the finals” “I have already learned some of the material...I guess I am not a detailed person”   “I have to pay attention to the things” “Good review” … “Graphically pleasing” … “Colors are nice” “May be develop one for nclex questions” “Activities were fun” … “I liked that” “The design was nice ..like it was done by someone who knew what they were doing” “Build similar booths : Glucose, Ulcers - showing different type of ulcers, cholesterol, Therapeutic communication”

  8. Future Plans • Plan to perform research in Summer 2012 • Possibilities for more funding to further develop the platform • CON course integration: Addition of modules for Semester 1- 4 courses Contact us for testing the site
