  1. The Killers formed in the desert of Las Vegas in 2001, and consists of four band members, Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Mark Stoermer, and Ronnie Vannucci Jr.

  3. Brandon Flowers Brandon and Dave Keuning created the band. Brandon is the front man, vocalist, lyricist, guitarist, bassist, songwriter, pianist and keyboardist for the band.

  4. Dave Keuning The only member not born in Las Vegas. Born in Pella, Iowa he later moved to Vegas seeking out members for a new band. He ended up the co-founder of the Killers. He is the Lead Guitarist.

  5. Mark Stoermer Stoermer is bassist, songwriter, and back up vocalist for The Killers.

  6. Ronnie Vannucci Jr. Ronnie is the drummer for The Killers. He likes ice cream and cake. In fact, he is a birthday magician on the side, just to get free cake and ice cream.

  7. Hot Fuss ,the debut studio album by The Killers, was released on June 15, 2004. Hot Fuss went platinum 6 times.

  8. Sam’s Town is their sophomore studio album released on October 2, 2006. Sam’s Town went platinum in the U.S., and multi-platinum in a number of other countries

  9. Not their most successful album, mainly made up of B-sides from their previous records, but Sawdust has sold at least one million copies worldwide.

  10. Another multi-platinum record, to date, Day & Age has sold over 3 million copies worldwide.

  11. This is the first DVD The Killers made. They performed at The Royal Albert Hall in London England, in July of 2009. The actual DVD was released November 10, 2009. As a result of it’s success, it has been nominated for best DVD at the 2010 NME Awards.

  12. Awards They have been nominated six times for the Brit Awards and won twice. They took home a Meteor, which they won in 2010 after being nominated three times. The Killers have been nominated for seven Grammy’s, but have yet to win.

  13. They also won a Moon Man for Best New Artist at the 2005 VMA’s. They were nominated three other times for categories such as Best Rock Video, Best Group Video Nominated, and Best Art Direction. The Killers we’re nominated for the European VMA’s and won the award for Best Rock Group.

  14. The Killers have been most successful at the NME Awards. They have been nominated nineteen times for various awards and won six. • Nominations include: • Best New Band • Best International Band • Best Video, • Best Track • Best Album Artwork • Best Album

  15. The Killers only appeared at the Woodie Awards once, but they made it count. They won “The Breaking Woodie” (Best Emerging Artist) in 2004.

  17. Somebody Told Me was the Killers’ first single and it put them on the map.

  18. The song was released December 5, 2006 charted in the Billboard Hot 100 at number fifty-four. The Killers featuring Elton John and Neil Tennant. The song was released on December 16, 2008.

  19. Mr. Brightside was written by Flowers and Keuning in late 2001. It was out by the fall of 2003.

  20. It is the fifth track on their second album Sam's Town, released in October 2006 Human was released on September 22, 2008. It hit #5 on The Billboard Hot 100 soon after its debut.

  21. The Killers featuring Lou Reed. The song was written by Brandon Flowers and it is featured on the compilation album Sawdust. When You Were Young, released in October 2006 peaked at #14 on the U.S. Hot 100. It also went to #1 on the U.S. Modern Rock Tracks.

  22. Introduced June 28th, 2005. This song contains a refrain of “I Got Soul But I’m Not A Soldier.” It’s a significant and memorable part of the song. Don’t Shoot Me Santa, along with all their Christmas songs, raised money for PRODUCT(RED) an organization to help fight AIDs.

  23. Bones released in October 2006, was originally titled It's Only Natural. Bones was popular, but not as popular as the single it followed (When You Were Young).

  24. This song was released December 1, 2009, and is their fourth Christmas song, and according to them, their last song for awhile.

  25. The Killers have had successful performances in the past, however, the band has canceled all their upcoming concerts. They will take a break from making albums and writing music. The Killers have not announced a date they expect to return to the stage.
