  3. Photoshop: Lab work Most camera original images needs the basic 3-step lab work adjust- ments. Levels adjustment Brightness/Contrast Color adjustment The example image has been fully processed to look closer to what I experienced. Use the Up and Down arrow keys to compare the Before and After steps. Grand Marais Minnesota

  4. Lab Work: Doing more… Usually, an image needs much more than just the basic processing to make it look more like the ‘actual experience’. Localized ‘burn’ is used to ‘frame’ the focal point. This first burn darken the upper portion of the sky. Again compare the Before and After using the Up and Down keys. Grand Marais Minnesota

  5. Lab Work: Another move Localized ‘dodge’ is used at the bottom for framing and bringing up image detail. Compare the Before and After using the Up and Down arrow keys again. Grand Marais Minnesota

  6. Lab Work: Final move The color was intensified as a horizontal band across the subject area. View the difference using the Up and Down arrow keys again. Grand Marais Minnesota

  7. Lab Work: Here to there I exposed for full-detail image. I processed to bring back the ‘actual experience’. Grand Marais Minnesota
