  1. Correct Address format • USPS (United States Postal Service) • Addresses typed in ALL CAPS or Initial Caps • All Caps – NO PUNCTUATION is used • Zip Code + 4 additional digits • Two sizes of envelopes • 6 ¾ - small envelope • No. 10 – larger envelope

  2. Envelopes • Type letter • Put cursor on the Delivery Address (Letter address) • Go to the MAILING tab • Select Envelope • Make sure you have typed in return address (or copied and pasted) • Change “options” if necessary • ADD TO DOCUMENT

Print • Compose a letter to Mrs. Boyd – see directions

  5. Compose a Letter • Compose a letter to Mrs. Boyd. The address is: 1218 Shepley Drive, St. Louis, MO 63137. • The letter is from YOU (you may use your address or create an address). Use today’s date. • The body of the letter should tell Mrs. Boyd how you: • Plan to keep up with assignments in the second quarter. • What you believe you did well the first quarter in this class. • What you think you should work on to improve your grade/quality of work moving forward. • Include a complimentary close and your typed name. • Print and sign the letter. Make sure you have a footer that includes the assignment name PERSONAL BUSINESS LETTER TO MRS. BOYD
