  2. Summary • Review of NGBA link performance after TI/IQ • Report on excursion and issues • Suggestions

  3. PD2 NGBA1 WW 43---WW48 weekly volume review Max---209k Min----111k There is obvious gap to IE MOR=207K/W. Please be noted that the statistics data are based on the fact that two module engineer and one PM are fully occupied, plust a FSE standing by since ww44.

  4. PD2 NGBA1 WW 43---WW48 weekly MU review IE MU MOR =75%; MU is low because of Jam, missing ball, remain ball, and other malfunctions

  5. BP 3000 issues summary report • Because of very unstable situation, it takes more than 5 weeks after the IQ for the 1st NGBA to meet the MOR goal merely: 15k/shift (30k/day) continuously. It was released to HVM only in ww45 • So far, ever since the TI/IQ of 1st NGBA link in ww40, 4 motors totally have be in problem. • 1st NGBA BP module: Pin Head theta motor, connection cable broken; • 1st NGBA BP module, x-axis motor, connection cable broken; • 2nd NGBA BP module right, pin head x-axis motor, connection cable broken; • 2nd NGBA diverter module, kicker motor axis broken • Each time it caused link down for a long time (16 hours in 3 cases, 5 hours in 4th.) • Missing ball, remain ball ratio is high, and could not be fixed efficiently. • Vision design has some shortcoming. It could not hold target image for further investigation. • Small inside space under workholder. It is very hard for us to collect jammed and fallen units. • BP3000 communication between main PC and vision PC is not stable. We lost the signal in ww46.5 and root cause unknown. We assume it is caused by the bad ventilation system of the computer case and it is too hot.

  6. Typical Motor cable failure

  7. PD2/CD1 BA Team Suggestions • Suggestions on design • Re-design the motor/system connection interface. Make probing and change efficient • Re-design the structure under the workholder, so that the jammed units could be collected easily; • Deploy the auto-Pin Head cleaning system ASAP; • Re-design the vision system so that the image could be held for further investigation (now the image is flushed in FIFO sequence) • Improve the ventilation situation of the computer case; • Suggestions on parts management • keep all types of motors at INTEL site; • Increase ASM Shanghai site’s parts stock;

  8. Q/A • Please contact us for questions • Yang, Alvin (Group Leader) • Liang, Zhengxie (core member in TI/IQ) • Yi, Ge (core member in TI/IQ) • Zhao, Felix
