  3. Project description • The project is based on the new products being introduced in all participating companies, with the equipment as well as new products. A comprehensive innovative technology solution represents a set of individual components, developed by companies participating in the project. The project will launch a new product, that is "Continuous processing line for co-production of heat and electrical energy - CHEE from AF (alternative fuels)." The product will result from the use of non-hazardous solid waste as renewable energy sources -RES. Their use for energy purposes is based on a higher level of use with the maximum protection of the environment, which provides technology and business perspective. With the introduction of new technologies, such as gasification of solid fuels from waste, we are opening the possibilities for new technological solutions for the use of non-hazardous solid waste and biomass to meet energy (electricity and heat co-generation method) and environmental requirements (waste, sludges from water treatment plants) of regions. At the same time, with the introduction of new technologies it is necessary to regulate and standardize the production of fuels from solid waste, which is the second part of the project. At the same time, the project's goal is to enable energy use of solid fuels from non- hazardous waste in the medium and large combustion plants in the form of co-combustion. • With our innovative approach, which will help raise the quality and standard of solid fuels from non-hazardous waste and biomass (upgrading of technical specifications SIST-TS CEN / TS 15359), we are establishing the basis for a new generation of such fuels, which are in Slovenia not on the market in such form. Proposal for a standard of solid fuels from non-hazardous waste is a significant achievement in the research work of the project.

Project results Gorenje Surovina d.o.o. • a device is constructed which enables preparation of formulations of solid fuels from non-hazardous waste • a mathematical model is established for preparation of samples • reference samples are made of solid fuels from non-hazardous waste • combustion of the samples is carried out at a pilot combustion plant in KIV Vransko • a proposal for a standard for high-quality solid fuels from non-hazardous waste is made BOSIO d.o.o. CHP system is implemented and it uses biomass as an energy and solid fuels from non-hazardous waste; it consists of the following components: • a solid fuel tank • a transport equipment for feeding solid fuel to the deaerator • a gas treatment system as a product of deaerating solid fuels (gas cooling, gas washing, gas condensation) • regulating and measuring technology • evaporator • deaerator INOKS d.o.o. Technological components are manufactured to the extent of a system for drying and preparation of heavy fractions into the solid fuel: • transport and storage system for heavy fractions following the anaerobic fermentation of mixed municipal waste • biofilter • classifier • suction fan • granulator ČISTO MESTO PTUJ d.o.o. • a mobile reactor for anaerobic fermentation of the MMW heavy fraction with the volume of 5 m3 MKO is installed • experiments of anaerobic fermentation and the analysis of produced biogas are carried out in the mobile reactor • sludge for use in solid fuel after drying and granulation is extracted
