Process Of Extracting Soybean Acid Oil

Soybean acid oil extraction is a complex process that involves cleaning and drying soybeans, crushing and heating them, and then using a solvent like hexane to separate the oil from the solid soybean meal. The oil is then separated from the solvent through evaporation, and then refined through processes like filtration, degumming, neutralization, bleaching, and deodorization. <br>

  3. PREPARATION OF SOYBEANS INTRODUCTION TO SOYBEAN ACID OIL EXTRACTION Soybeans are cleaned and dehulled to remove impurities and outer layers, ensuring purity in the extraction process. Soybean acid oil is a byproduct of soybean oil refining and is obtained through a specific extraction process.

  4. EXTRACTION OF CRUDE SOYBEAN OIL Soybean oil is extracted using solvent extraction methods, typically with hexane, to separate oil from the soybean meal. REFINING PROCESS The crude soybean oil undergoes refining processes such as degumming, neutralization, bleaching, and deodorization to remove impurities and improve quality.

  5. SEPARATION OF ACID OIL During the refining process, a certain amount of free fatty acids is removed, resulting in the formation of acid oil, which is separated from the refined oil. ACIDULATION The separated acid oil undergoes an acidulation process, where it is treated with sulfuric acid to further reduce the free fatty acid content.

  6. WASHING AND NEUTRALIZATION The acidulated oil is washed to remove excess acid and neutralized to adjust the pH level, making it suitable for various industrial applications. DRYING AND FILTRATION The treated acid oil is dried to remove moisture and filtered to ensure purity and remove any remaining impurities.

  7. PACKAGING The final product, soybean acid oil, is packaged in suitable containers for storage and transportation to various industries for use in applications such as biodiesel production, animal feed, and industrial chemicals. QUALITY CONTROL Throughout the extraction and refining process, quality control measures are implemented to ensure the final product meets regulatory standards and customer specifications.
