  1. Hayat Tazir, P.E. – Sr. Bridge Engineer • Ms. Hayat Tazir earned her M.S. in Civil Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 1988. A structural engineer with more than 15 years of design experience in the specialized field of bridge engineering, Ms. Tazir has held significant roles on projects such as the Central Artery/Tunnel in Boston, the historic Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. Her work encompasses structural analysis and design of steel structures. In the past several years, during construction of the San Francisco- Oakland Bay Bridge, Ms. Tazir responsibilities have grown to include Team Lead for shop drawing production and On-Site representative working with steel tower fabricators. The Bay Bridge’s tower is 160 meters long and will carry the longest self anchored suspension span in the world. Ms. Tazir has given lectures at MIT and in China at the World Expo.
