  2. Family Issues • The average Swedish family is very similar to the average American family. • Often, both Mother and Father will work to provide for the family. • Parents are given 480 days of paid leave per child, allowing them to spend much more time at home than most American families!

  3. Social Issues • Racial and Gender equality is very important in Sweden. There are a great number of female business owners in Sweden. • There is little difference in social class in Sweden. • High divorce rates and child sexual abuse are some of the leading social problems.

  4. Political Issues • “All power comes from the people.” Sweden’s government system is also focused on equality. • Sweden is a Parliamentary Democracy • Has a constitution • The people vote to elect a representing ‘Riksdag’

  5. Religion • Main religion in Sweden is “The Church of Sweden”, with close to 7 million followers • One of the areas in which Norse Mythology originated • Jormungand , serpent of Norse mythology

  6. Music • Genre- Metal • Melody: Range- Medium, Contour- Up and Down, Melody- Disjunct • Rhythm- Duple • Harmony- Major, Consonant sound • Form- Verse and Chorus • Timbre-Lead Guitar, Rhythm guitar, Bass guitar, vocals, percussion • Expression- Moderate speed, aggressive • Texture- Polyphonic
