  2. What is OP-Art??? • Op art, also known as optical art, is used to describe some paintings and other works of art which use optical illusions.

  3. Who & When • Victor Vasarely (1906-1997)- He is the acknowledged leader of the Op Art movement. • In the 1930-40’s, Vasarely discovered his place in abstract art.

  4. When the viewer looks at them, the impression is given of movement, hidden images, flashing and vibration, patterns, or alternatively, of swelling or warping.
